Research market analytics metrics for Sprint 2 #39

@BytecodeBrewer

Description

@BytecodeBrewer

Goal

Extend the existing metrics research with a stronger focus on market analytics.

Why

ARGUS is moving from simple FX conversion toward historical market analysis. Before implementing more metrics, the project should clarify which metrics are useful, what they explain and how they should be interpreted.

This research should guide the implementation of Sprint 2 analytics metrics and help keep the dashboard meaningful instead of adding random chart noise.

Scope

Research and document useful first market analytics metrics, including:

  • cumulative return
  • strongest / weakest daily movement
  • rolling volatility
  • performance comparison
  • risk / volatility interpretation
  • possible future metrics such as drawdown, moving averages or normalized performance

For each metric, document:

  • what it measures
  • why it is useful
  • required input data
  • expected output
  • possible chart or dashboard usage
  • implementation difficulty
  • whether it should be implemented now or later

Acceptance criteria

  • Existing metrics research is extended or a new research document is created
  • Core Sprint 2 metrics are explained clearly
  • At least three future metrics are briefly evaluated
  • Each metric includes purpose, input data and dashboard relevance
  • Implementation priority is documented
  • No production code is required in this ticket

Priority: Must
