Description of Problem:
Balancer screens are not easy to identify in browser tabs. A favicon would make it easier for clinicians to find when jumping from tab to tab. Image A is the location of our current favicon.

5/12/26 Sahil approved the favicon design at the onsite group meeting. Suzanne will produce the artwork necessary for the favicon by next group meeting and pass to Sahil for assignment.

ChatGPT guided the artwork I provided for this issue. Below is a developer handoff sheet that provides guidance on the favicon implementation. The artwork is in a compressed folder in the next comment. Any issues accessing the files, please let me know.

I prepared a favicon artwork folder for Balancer with the following files:

• favicon.svg — 32px square SVG favicon artwork
• favicon-32.png — 32px PNG fallback
• apple-touch-icon.png — 180px PNG for Apple/iOS touch icon use
• icon-192.png — 192px PNG for web app / manifest use
• icon-512.png — 512px PNG for web app / manifest use

Please place these files in the frontend’s public/static asset location so they can be served from root paths such as:

• /favicon.svg
• /favicon-32.png
• /apple-touch-icon.png
• /icon-192.png
• /icon-512.png

Then update the main frontend index.html favicon references as appropriate.

Recommended usage:

• Use favicon.svg as the primary modern favicon.
• Use favicon-32.png as the PNG fallback.
• Use apple-touch-icon.png for Apple touch icon behavior.
• Use icon-192.png and icon-512.png if the app has, or later adds, a web app manifest.

Please verify the final file location and paths against the current Balancer build/deploy setup.

Design note

The favicon is intentionally a simplified square mark rather than the full Balancer wordmark. It is designed to remain readable at small browser-tab sizes, especially 16px and 32px.
