Ensuring that a user's phone application reliably receives a verification request involves combining robust backend logic, secure communication, and good user experience design. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Deliver Verification Request Through Reliable Channels Push Notifications:

Use a push notification service like Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for Android and iOS, or Apple's APNs for iOS. Push notifications are lightweight, fast, and effective for real-time communication. Ensure the payload of the notification includes enough context (e.g., verification code or a prompt to open the app). In-App Messages:

When the user opens the app, the app should fetch any pending verification requests from the server. Use websockets (e.g., via libraries like Socket.IO) for real-time in-app updates if the app is running in the foreground. SMS as a Fallback:

If the app is not running or the device is offline, send the verification request as an SMS message using services like Twilio or Nexmo. Include clear instructions in the SMS. 2. Ensure Timely Delivery Retry Logic for Notifications:
