New Flutter version broke VS Code Sync

Current Behavior

Producing error:
Failed to initialize FlutterFlow project: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/Users/[name]/Documents/FlutterFlow/[project name]/.fvm/versions/3.38.5/version'

Expected Behavior

Sync should work fine.

Hello! I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue. While I can see that this error message appears in VS Code, it seems that you’re still able to download the code and use it in VS Code.

Additionally, there have already been reports of synchronization issues between FlutterFlow and VS Code, and a fix is currently being worked on in the Beta environment. I’ll link both cases internally and close this one as a duplicate to keep everything consolidated in a single thread.

@Juansarmi no, this is an existing folder I’ve already downloaded prior to the flutter change. The issue is no longer has the “pull from FF” button anymore hence all further changes in FF is no longer sync. I only use VS code for custom code / cloud function so need to pull the latest from FF

It’s possible that your error is related to VS Code / FlutterFlow using an outdated or incorrect Flutter SDK path. You can resolve this by updating the Flutter SDK path.

Please try the following steps:

→ Open VS Code
→ Press Ctrl + Shift + P
→ Type Flutter: Change SDK
→ Select the correct path where your Flutter SDK is installed

Somehow FF was pulling users/documents/flutterflow/[project folder]/fvm/versions/3.38.5 when it is installed in users/documents/fvm/versions/3.38/5

Is it me or is it by design it tries to search for the SDK in the project folder instead of elsewhere? I work across multiple projects so it's better to set once and forget instead of having to do it for every project.
