We need to have gorham-bottom-sheet upgraded to past 5.2 I believe to get this work. We patched this in our own use.

We are using groom-bottom-sheet 5.2.8. but still chat screen not working.

we temporary fixed it by forcing an upgrade of the @gorhom/bottom-sheet package from v4 to v5.

1. We added an override in package.json:

"overrides": {
  "@gorhom/bottom-sheet": "^5.0.0"
}

2. Ran npm update to apply it:

npm update @gorhom/bottom-sheet

The stream-chat-expo package depends on @gorhom/bottom-sheet v4, which uses an internal Reanimated API (unstable_getBoundingClientRect) that was removed in Reanimated v3.

Hello everyone,

Just released a new version of the SDK. It should take care of both having Expo 55 compatibility as well as some edge cases with file/media pickers (not particularly related to compatibility with 55, but got highlighted much more on the new version).

To give some context about the bottom sheet fix, the actual fix within the library has been available since 5.2.7, however unfortunately versions >=5.2.7 of the bottom sheet also contain a plethora of other bugs, specifically related to keyboard management with the attachment picker. They're pretty difficult to solve for now, so until I have some more decent time to dedicate to them I opted to create a monkey patch of the library specifically for the SDK.

Please give it a shot and let me know if it resolves the issues !
