Blank Notification after Message was read on Different Device

I get a message notification on my android phone running open bubbles, and my Apple watch. When I view the message on my Apple watch, the notification on my android phone becomes empty/blank, and does not disappear until I click it or clear it. This happens pretty much every time I view a notification on my Apple watch first.
