Hello @maliberty is anyone working on this?? If no please assign this to me?
Actually I applying as GSOC applicant for 2026 , and the project I am interested to work is OpenROAD - Bazel Migration.

Therefore I want to contribute to this bazel based issues and other bazel based issues to have a strong grasp of Bazel and how it is used throughout OpenRoad codebase , so if any guidance related to this project you want provide me is highly appreciable.

Also if OpenRoad has got any community forum or community chat platform like slack please let me know,so that I can introduce myself with my project and asks doubts regarding this.
Actually I tried find your slack community , but asking for diffrent kind of email I don't have right now and also gitter but it is not opening for some reason . Therefore I asked you about this .

If other bazel based issues are there which you think could be nice to try for me please let know and if you want you can also assign those to me, I will try my best to resolve them.
