Dependency on abandoned(?) unittest2

Hi!

I'm about to package OpenRAM for GNU Guix but noticed the dependency on unittest2. Unfortunately we seem to have expulsed this package to our past channel. Is there a more modern, drop-in replacement for unittest2 or are there plans to update unit testing to more modern frameworks?
