[BUG] Convert .mobi to pdf

Thanks for the bug report / question.

The last one I can tell you what is probably happening. As the notes in the program's README say: "Only legacy MOBI (MOBI 7) files are supported. Newer formats like KF8 (AZW3) are not compatible". So it's normal that an AZW3 won't open.

First one I'd need the log file to know a bit more about what is happening (you attached a zip with the config file for the app and that's not of much use in this case), you can find how to generate it and get it here:

If I had to guess I'd say it's an incompatible file (although you saying that an epub doesn't open either makes me hesitate), but in general it'd also be helpful if I knew more about the files or, better, had the mobi/epub files that are failing to test them (if github doesn't let you, you could use google drive, dropbox, mega or something like that I can download them from and put the link here or email it to me so I can use them just for testing. but I understand if that's not possible).

Same problem with the epub file, I need more info, the log from the session where it fails at the very least, the file itself if possible... epubs should work. One thing you could try is going to the convert comic tool's advanced options and set the epub extraction > book type to the type the epub is (comic epub containing only images or ebook), in case the autodetect code is failing for that one and makes the conversion fail (you didn't tell me when or how it fails for the epub so I'm just guessing). This is where having the file myself would help.

Also, do any of those files you can't convert open in the reader itself? (this could give us some clues)

In the meantime I can only speculate: In the conversion log (which is different from the program's log I mentioned now, but could give some hints) in your screenshot I see there was a bit of info from the first file error, but you didn't even paste the contents of that one and the screenshot shows only the end. I can see something like "um programa operável ou um arquivo em lote". Goggling a bit it seems related to the system not being able to find an executable being called... could it be that your antivirus or similar program is blocking something? It's the first time I see something like it and can't even see the beginning of the message so I have no idea or much else to go on.

Can you open any kind of file in the reader? PDFs, CBZs, CBRs...? does it work with any file at all?
What OS are you on? Windows 10, 11? Anything particular/unusual about your setup?

By the way, unlike epubs and mobis, Github will let you paste/attach the acbr.log txt files from the logs here if you compress them as zip, as other users have done it before.
