Invalid Operating mode Exception

Hi Team,
I have attached the Xbee coordinator to a USB port of Raspberry pi Model 3B when I am trying to open the device connection I am receiving the below exception message.
Exception: Serialcheck lineno:360 info: Error Thread name: main description: Could not determine operating mode. Cause: null StackTrace:com.digi.xbee.api.exceptions.InvalidOperatingModeException: Could not determine operating mode.
at com.digi.xbee.api.XBeeDevice.open(XBeeDevice.java:360)

I am receiving this exception when below line of code is getting excepted.
// Open the device connection.
myXBeeDevice.open();

Could you help in solving this issue?

You might not have access to the device file. Try entering sudo chown -R <username> /dev in the terminal.
