Instrumental variables not able to set from defined standard

Background and resolution are not able to be changed from the predefined values and background can't display scientific values

How to reproduce:

1. Open the app
2. Go through to the Experiment tab
3. Try to change the background to 1e-6 (very standard value) and change the resolution from 5%.
   3a. Background reverts to 0 after any change
   3b. Resolution reverts to 5% after any second change in instrumental parameters

What is the expected behaviour?
To be able to change the instrumental parameters and background should be shown in scientific notation
