What Happened?

Code sometimes crashes when using edit marks.

Steps to Reproduce

See above - exact sequence of operations unclear

Expected Behavior

No crash

8.x (Circe)

OS Architecture

amd64 (on most hardwares)

Session Type

Secure Session (Wayland, This is the default)

Software Version

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Log Output

`gdb` indicates that the crash occurred while deleting a text mark.
