Add FINAL CUT to Void Linux (XBPS)

Package request for Void Linux

I am exploring the possibility of packaging FINAL CUT in the Void Linux package repository, managed via the XBPS package manager.
Void Linux users currently have no way to install FINAL CUT without building it from source.

I already confirmed that LGPL-3.0 is compatible with Void Linux packaging policy, as XBPS provides both free and non-free package categories.

Would the maintainers be open to this? And if any other contributor is already working on this or is interested in collaborating, I would be happy to hear from them.

Making FINAL CUT available on Void Linux would be great. As I am not a Void Linux user and have no experience with it, I can’t offer support or say whether anyone is working on it. I would be glad if someone else could take this on.

To my knowledge, no one is currently creating packages for Void Linux, so please feel free to start!

I have already created the necessary files and opened a pull request on the void-packages repository here.

I will update this issue once I'll get a response from XBPS' maintainers.
