ModelViz is a publicly accessible, open-source web application for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic model development. It parses exported .SemanticModel .zip archives, validates the TMDL structure, classifies storage modes including Import, DirectQuery, Direct Lake, and composite models, and renders interactive diagrams for relationships, star schema structure, lineage, RLS roles, measures, columns, and model metadata.

Edit-

Have pushed a new copy to main with the main change being removal of the LLM lite supplied AI-semantic analysis.

This makes the entire tool capable of being run locally and offline.
All of the functionality that you see on the site occurs as a result of business process mapping logic, react xyflow, and dagre.js

This makes it a safe and comfortable place to decompile semantic models locally (i.e. Customer provides you with a semantic model, and you want a quick way to look into it without loading it into your workspace, or piping into theirs, you can inspect the raw data model with this tool), that's why there is a "Reduce to Semantics" toggle at the top of the page, it removes all named content, but keeps the semantics. Great for sharing complex diagrams generated from the actual semantic model.

This is a deterministic tool. It cannot "generate" relationships that don't exist, WYSIWYG
