This problem happened after the upgrade of MacOS 11.6 (20G165)

@mzhzhang java_home has to return something. Or you can use different command or even your own path.

$ /usr/libexec/java_home -v11
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/corretto-11.0.12.7.2/Contents/Home

This is working fine on macOs Big Sur 11.6 (Intel), with JDK installed and visible under /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/.
