Motivation

Currently, using the user experience of the pid-component on devices with touch controls and on smaller screens (e.g., mobile phone, tablet) is not ideal. The styling is broken due to the limited width, tooltips are not as intuitive to use, and you quickly get into a lot of scroll issues.

Goals

• Create a user-friendly and useful representation of the pid-component for small screens with touch controls (mobile devices).
• Recognize automatically whether the pid-component is on such a device and fix the layout accordingly.
• Enable renderers to provide varying contents and layouts based on the form factor.
