Motivation
In the Overleaf Workshop settings, there is nothing to control the extension's PDF viewer. In particular, I couldn't find a way to change the default settings for the type of scrolling (defaults to vertical scrolling) and the type of spreads (defaults to even spreads).
They can be changed manually on the PDF viewer menu, but they revert to defaults every time you compile the document. The spread is particularly annoying, since "even spreads" forces you to navigate through pages both horizontally and vertically. In my opinion, "no spreads" is the more natural option.
Feature Description
In the extension's settings, the default settings of the PDF viewer should be editable, so that they can be persistent when recompiling the document or reopening VSCode.
