Hello, I am a student from Sun Yat-sen University, I compiled after the completion of the microCOSM file,. / microCOSM does not appear similar to microCOSM000001.dat results file, can you help me ?

My implementation steps are as follows ：

make model OPTIONDEFS="-DWRITEOUTFILE -DFIXATMPCO2 -DSIXBOX"

./microCOSM

microCOSM000001.dat is output from the three-box version of the model (that is, don't include -DSIXBOX when you compile).

When you say the results are not similar, do the values look reasonable at all? Or do you get *** or NAN or something else? Can you paste the last line from the output?

Hello, I tried the following methods :
I modified the makefile file and made the following settings :
“OPTIONDEFS = -DUSEJSONOUT -DSIXBOX”
Then :

make
. /microCOSM

Then I got a result file named “ microcosm _ 000001.json “

But I now have a new question :
The initial value in microcosm_model.F90 is set according to the value of ' Ocean iron cycle feedbacks theoretically atmospheric CO2 from meridional circulation changes '.After 10,000 years of operation, the results of no3, iron and ligand are the same as those in your article. However, the result of atmpco2 is quite different from the value in the article.
I got the following results :
When Psi = 8SV, atmpco2 = 476.94 μatm
When Psi = 20SV, atmpco2 = 430.02 μatm
When Psi = 40SV, atmpco2 = 295.00 μatm
It can be seen that the result is quite different from the result of “ when Psi = 20SV, atmpco2 = 280 μatm “ in the article., but I have not found the reason at present.

Hi @sysupdm - hmm, I only recently added the "json" output, so perhaps I have messed up something to do with writing the "dat" files.

About the different atmospheric pCO2 values: you may need to spin up the model with fixed atmospheric pCO2 (compile with -DFIXATMPCO2) for 10kyrs first, to allow the carbon cycle/atmosphere-ocean carbon balance to reach equilibrium.
