Categories sidebar block

Would it be possible to create a block called “Inline HTML Galley Sidebar: Categories”? Basically, for any inline HTML galley, we’d like users to be able to see which categories have been assigned to it, and from there be able to click the category link to take them to the overarching category page.

We'll need to survey core to see if work is already done or planned for a block with this kind of functionality. It seems like something that would generally be useful.

If already existing, map the existing work onto Bootstrap and then into this plugin.

If planned, a block can be prereleased here as a model for the planned work.
