Hardware & Software Environment
After performing a physical click (pressing down until the trackpad clicks), the cursor becomes locked and cannot move unless the finger is completely lifted off the trackpad surface.
Expected Behavior (macOS-like experience)
- Press down on trackpad → physical click occurs
- Reduce pressure (but keep finger on surface) → click is released
- Move finger while still touching surface → cursor moves normally
Actual Behavior (current driver)
- Press down on trackpad → physical click occurs
- Reduce pressure (but keep finger on surface) → click remains engaged
- Attempt to move finger → cursor does not move
- Only when finger is completely lifted → cursor can move again
This makes drag-and-drop operations extremely awkward and breaks the natural workflow.
