Click-and-drag issue: Cannot move cursor while finger remains on trackpad after force click

Hardware & Software Environment

• Device: Apple Magic Trackpad 3

• Connection: USB

• OS: Windows 11

After performing a physical click (pressing down until the trackpad clicks), the cursor becomes locked and cannot move unless the finger is completely lifted off the trackpad surface.

Expected Behavior (macOS-like experience)

1. Press down on trackpad → physical click occurs
2. Reduce pressure (but keep finger on surface) → click is released
3. Move finger while still touching surface → cursor moves normally

Actual Behavior (current driver)

1. Press down on trackpad → physical click occurs
2. Reduce pressure (but keep finger on surface) → click remains engaged
3. Attempt to move finger → cursor does not move
4. Only when finger is completely lifted → cursor can move again

This makes drag-and-drop operations extremely awkward and breaks the natural workflow.

hi, In the Control Panel, can you try unchecking "Ignore input from the finger used to click the force touch button" and try again? Vito
