I'll probably end up changing this to a mechanic since it's something you have to maintain throughout the game and not something you're trying to attain. I will need to add the appropriate strings on the front end.

The players are trying to block the opponent's line-of-sight (LOS), or have a majority of LOS. The mechanics includes LOS, just like Lines-of-Action, the first game using the LOS ludeme. However LOA's goal was unification. Here, the goal continues to be LOS-related. There are only two games like this, afaict, this one and 1892's Kastellet. But I believe they justify the introduction of a new genre. So, I would ask you to reconsider :)
