Remove reference to deprecated feature torch._six has been deprecated, and this reference causes the code to not run. I removed the import and replaced the string_classes comparison with what string_classes actually was / is.

torch._six has been deprecated, and this reference causes the code to not run. I removed the import and replaced the string_classes comparison with what string_classes actually was / is.
