The polling status was a live region updated every 2.5s, so screen readers re-announced the same phrase repeatedly. Make the visible status non-live; route SR announcements through a dedicated polite region fired once at start (with a 'runs in the background, come back later' message), once per phase change, and once on completion. Closes #18.
