What

Adds /build-a-ride-sharing-app/ — the SEO landing page for the flagship ride-share template (the first entry in the template-gallery effort).

  • Leads with the control/ownership message: you own your statically-linked app; the UI you test is what ships, and an OS update can't restyle or break it. Native rents its UI from Apple/Google.
  • Describes the template: rider + driver + web-admin from one Java/Kotlin codebase, OpenAPI/Swagger contract + built-in mock (runs instantly, no backend) + optional Spring backend (Java end-to-end), and the remix path (by hand or with an AI agent).
  • SEO target: "build a ride-sharing app in Java/Kotlin" (+ "uber clone java").

Pre-launch, honest

The template's live demo, full source, and build-along tutorial don't exist yet (the app is in Phase 0→1 of the build). So:

  • They're shown as "coming soon" in text — no dead links (keeps lychee green, doesn't overpromise).
  • The working CTAs point only to existing pages: /getting-started/, /compare/, /newsletter/.
  • A follow-up PR wires the live demo / GitHub source / tutorial CTAs (and drops the "coming soon" note) when the template ships.

Publishing now starts SEO ranking early and gives a "notify me" capture; hold the merge if you'd rather it go live with the template.

Notes

  • Hero image generated with the house hero tool (/templates/rideshare-hero.jpg, 2048×1024).
  • Hugo builds clean (production --minify flags); page + hero + all linked pages render. Not blog content, so the blog prose gate doesn't apply; no dead links for the link checker.

Test plan

  • hugo --minify builds; /build-a-ride-sharing-app/ and the hero render.
  • All CTA targets exist (getting-started, compare, newsletter).
  • Visual check over a served build (screenshot).
  • Reviewer: confirm the messaging/positioning reads right before merge.

Cloudflare Preview

Adds /build-a-ride-sharing-app/ — the SEO landing page for the flagship
ride-share template. Java focus. Frames Codename One as truly native with a
statically-linked UI you own (an OS update can't restyle or break it) — vs
depending on the platform's UI toolkits (SwiftUI/Compose). Describes the
rider + driver + web-admin one-codebase template, the OpenAPI/mock + optional
Spring backend, and the remix (by hand / with AI) path.

Pre-launch: live demo / source / tutorial shown as 'coming soon' (no dead
links); working CTAs point to existing pages. Hero generated with the house tool.
