@jeffsmohan hopefully this addresses everything you ran into. Sorry about that, I'll admit that we had not thought about that guide in a long time. We've simplified the build process quite a bit since and we've also de-emphasized seeking out contributors new to open source. We may want to remove the guide in favor of shorter notes in the readme. But at least for now this should not mislead people. Thanks again!
