I think the meaning of "Pick-up" has been misunderstood here. It's not a microphone or guitar pickup, but has the meaning of "Picking up the fader/potentiometer". The software control stays still until your physical controller "picks it up" by crossing its value.

@jujudusud : 2 suggestions qui me viennent en tête "mode de prise de contrôle", ou "mode d'activation". Je l'avais traduis par "mode reprise" dans le manuel de Jamulus, et je ne suis pas 100% certain que ça soit OK.

This should have the same term used in the UI for the Mute button.
