Summary

  • Added documentation for the new password protection feature on preview deployments, which lets users set a password when creating a manual preview so external reviewers can access it without being Mintlify org members.
  • Restructured the "Restrict access to preview deployments" section into two subsections: organization authentication and password protection.

Triggered by mintlify/server@dba9fdc, which adds support for password-protected preview links.

Note

Low Risk
Low risk documentation-only change that updates guidance on restricting preview access without affecting runtime behavior.

Overview
Updates deploy/preview-deployments.mdx to expand preview access restriction guidance, splitting it into organization authentication and a new password protection option.

Documents how to create a password-protected manual preview (including the minimum password length) and clarifies that passwords are per-deployment.

Closing: password-protected preview deployments have not shipped to production. The underlying PR is still open. If this feature ships in the future, a new docs PR can be opened at that time.
