it must be unique, but does it need to match the App ID value as well?
from your change I would guess no, but just double-checking (haven't tested it myself)

No, it doesn't need to match the App ID. Macromill encountered the same issue—they weren't able to use their App ID as the Service ID.

I haven't tested it either since I don't have an Apple Developer account. This documentation update is based on customer feedback.
