The main thing is to group project/file concerns on the left, and status/view concerns on the right.
Most importantly, it moves the preview button to be top right - this means you can easily toggle in and out of preview by clicking in the same place. Previously that would have hit the switch button, and was a big footgun.
(there are tooltips over the icons on the left 'Switch project' and 'Share this project')
