Project: Consolation

Project: Consolation is an experimental enhancement project for the PC version of 007: Quantum of Solace multiplayer.

This includes engine patches, gameplay fixes, unlocked and adjusted dvars, custom scripting support, console work, UI improvements, and quality-of-life features for both players and modders.

How Do I Obtain The Game?

When Games for Windows - LIVE launched, some games used a legacy activation model. Those keys were sometimes reusable across multiple titles that used the same legacy method.

Because of that, some still-listed older Games for Windows - LIVE titles are sometimes used by players to obtain a compatible key.

Examples:

If you do not want to pay full price for those titles, they are often available from key resellers for much less.

Quantum of Solace On PC

007: Quantum of Solace on PC has effectively been unavailable through normal first-hand digital storefronts for a long time.

That means people usually end up getting the game through second-hand copies, key resellers, or abandonware archives rather than through an official current storefront.

Availability and legality can vary by region, so use your own judgment and follow local rules.

Recommended Source

The most commonly recommended source is MyAbandonWare because it offers multiple regional versions and also lists a reputable repack.

At the moment, only the English version is confirmed to work properly with Project: Consolation.

Games for Windows - LIVE

You should install Games for Windows - LIVE separately using an up-to-date package.

The recommended source is:

Keep in mind that the newest available Games for Windows - LIVE package may not work properly with Project: Consolation in the future, depending on how compatibility evolves.
